The First Annual " Illuminate the Unisphere in Pink and Blue for Autism Awareness Month ".

The Unisphere in Flushing Meadows park  was lit- up to turned to pink and blue to raise Autism awareness month yesterday, April 1st.  The weather was not very cooperative, so all the activities were moved to the Queens Musuem of Art on the 2nd floor. There were arts and crafts for the children, resources and some inspirational key note speakers who were very passionate about in helping families affected by this nervous disorder. All this efforts were the idea  of  a wonderful parent whose little girl has ASD. She was joined by some amazing people who are advocates in helping children with special needs especially for those who are under the Autism Spectrum Disorder. We, as a family went there to support this cause and to help raise awareness of Autism in the community. This is for my little guy who is very special in his own way :)

"Illuminate the Unisphere in Pink and Blue for Autism Awareness Month"

April is Autism Awareness Month.
Let us all help raise Autism awareness by lighting it up blue on April 2, 2012.
But if you are a Queens, NY resident, let us help raise some funds for the first "Illuminate the Unisphere in Pink and Blue for Autism Awareness Month". If  the Manhattan Borough lets their Empire State Building turn blue every year for this cause, let us also try doing it here in the Queens County through the prominent Unisphere Globe of the Flushing-Corona Park.

Contribute now and help the first "Illuminate the Unisphere in Pink and Blue for Autism Awareness Month". this will be held at the Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY on April 1, 2012.
