The Unisphere in Flushing Meadows park was lit- up to turned to pink and blue to raise Autism awareness month yesterday, April 1st. The weather was not very cooperative, so all the activities were moved to the Queens Musuem of Art on the 2nd floor. There were arts and crafts for the children, resources and some inspirational key note speakers who were very passionate about in helping families affected by this nervous disorder. All this efforts were the idea of a wonderful parent whose little girl has ASD. She was joined by some amazing people who are advocates in helping children with special needs especially for those who are under the Autism Spectrum Disorder. We, as a family went there to support this cause and to help raise awareness of Autism in the community. This is for my little guy who is very special in his own way :) |

Thanks for capturing the event. With all the excitement of the rain, I wasn't able document. Thanks for coming out to support the tribute!
